Privacy policy

Calistica is a training log. Nothing it records ever leaves your phone, and this page exists to say exactly that and show its working.

The short version. Your sessions are stored in your own iCloud account, where we cannot read them. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDK in the app. Nothing is sent to us at all — the app makes no network request of its own.

1. Who this is

Calistica is an iOS app published by Quantum Digital Plus. Questions about this policy or about your data go to support@calistica.app.

2. Your training data

Everything you log — sessions, sets, hold times, reps, the verdicts the app gives you and which stage you are on — is written to the private database of your own iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. That is your storage, not ours.

We cannot read it. A private CloudKit database is accessible only to the iCloud account that owns it.
It syncs between your own devices when you are signed into the same Apple Account.
Apple handles that storage and sync under Apple’s own privacy policy.
If you sign out of iCloud or turn off iCloud Drive for Calistica, the app keeps working on that device and stops syncing.

We never receive, see, sell, share or analyse your training data. There is no Calistica account, so there is nothing for us to attach it to.

3. What leaves your device

Nothing. The app makes no network request of its own. It has no server, no analytics endpoint and no third-party SDK, so there is no channel through which anything could be sent.

The only network traffic Calistica causes is Apple’s: iCloud syncing your own data between your own devices, and the App Store handling a purchase. Both are Apple services acting for you, under Apple’s privacy policy.

This changed on 22 September 2026. Earlier builds included an AI coach that sent a typed question and four numbers about your progress to a server, which passed it to a third-party model provider. That feature was removed before release. No version of Calistica that reached the public ever had it, and nothing was ever collected through it.

4. Purchases

If you turn on a reminder, it is scheduled on your phone by iOS. Nothing about it is sent anywhere, and you can turn it off in the app or in Settings at any time.

The purchase, All ten stages, is a single in-app purchase, sold through Apple. It is not a subscription. Apple handles the payment and tells the app only whether the purchase exists. We never see your card, your billing address or your Apple Account. Refunds are handled by Apple.

5. What we do not do

No analytics or crash-reporting SDK of any kind.
No advertising, no advertising identifier, no ad networks.
No tracking across apps or websites, and no data sold or shared with data brokers.
No third-party SDKs in the app at all.
No email list unless you type your address into our website yourself.

6. Children

Calistica is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child. It is a strength-training app intended for adults.

7. Your choices

Delete your training data: delete the app and remove its data from iCloud in Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is usually nothing for us to export or erase on request — but write to us and we will confirm that in writing.

8. Where this applies

Calistica is published from Australia and this policy is written to the Australian Privacy Principles. Because we hold no personal data about you at all, the rights that attach to personal data under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR have nothing of yours to attach to.

9. Changes

Today nothing leaves your device. If that ever changes, the app will say so before the change takes effect, and this page will say what and why. The date at the top is always the date of the current version.
